Love la fitness and the blogs, which helps me live a healthy life in the fast tract
I enjoy the diet postings
I enjoy the articles about working out ; arms, legs, abs, etc.. The article about sodium intake; stunning skin; I pretty much enjoy all the articles.
I’d like to better understand the whole macros, micros phenom and if there is a relatively painless way to start following the philosophy of getting a certain amount of them all in each day.
Support of friends and these great classes that are offered at LA Fitness has helped my reach my fitness goals and to keep going!
Thanks for the tips on how to property use free weights…very helpful!
I always look forward to reading the Living Healthy articles. My favorite are the “eating right” articles since that’s my weakest part of my healthy lifestyle. I try to work out daily and my trainer has really helped motivate me to keep up with my workouts.
I like reading articles on how nutrition plays a role in a work out plan. I’d like to see more articles on supplements.
I like reading articles on diet, nutrition, and variety in workouts-everything having to do with living healthy!
LA fitness is a great place to workout & exercise! The staff where I go are top notch & friendly. I am working towards competing in a over 35+ men’s physique contest this year.
What has helped you reach your personal fitness goals in the past?
Changed my diet, eliminated most of my refined sugar intake, and of course many hours at the gym.
since i dont cook, i would like to know more of what i could eat from the grocery store that is healthy and easy to prepare. Like, for example, are the frozen foods liken vegetables and lean cuisine things healthy??
What has helped you reach your personal fitness goals in the past?
I have used certain apps to help me reach my fitness goals such as C25K for running and FitnessBuilder for weight lifting. The facilities at LA Fitness has helped me utilize these apps and fitness goals and have already lost 30 lbs in 3 months!
I read the posts on workout routines to add new exercises and mix up my own workouts.
I would like to learn more about kettle bell exercises
Portland loves LA… LA Fitness, that is.
Pre and post workout meal tips are very helpful
I like to read the “Ask our dietician” segments. They share a lot of useful information.
I love LA fitness! Nice shirt!
I have been with LA Fitness dice it came to Atlanta, GA I love the clubs and the atmosphere they offer.
I enjoy the articles on different exercises for certain muscles. I’m always looking for new exercises to incorporate so I don’t get bored.
1. My favorite article is http://bloglafitness.azurewebsites.net/2014/08/14/what-are-vegetarian-things-i-can-eat-that-contain-a-lot-of-protein-2/ and http://bloglafitness.azurewebsites.net/2013/10/22/omega-3-options-and-your-health/#more-4829. My results from those articles have been making me feel great. It has help me tremendously focus on the better quality plant proteins and omegas.
2. I like the nutrition articles on vegetarian and vegan nutrition when weight training and trying to lose weight. I’d like to see more tips on how to continue living on a plant based diet, while exercising. Also heart-healthy options.
3. My question for the “Ask the Dietician” section is: Do you think BCAA’s make a huge difference? I currently take the Solgar (vegetarian-friendly) capsules before working out. I don’t think I see much of a difference. Could you tell me more about why it is highly recommended to take these?
4. Discipline! Sometimes, I have a hard time keeping myself on track (like right now). I get in the groove and do really well. However, when I fall off, I really fall off. If I can set up a specific schedule, I tell myself it’s an appointment that I can’t miss.
I lost almost 50 lbs and reduced my body fat from 47% to 28% by working with weights, doing cardio machines, and fitness classes at LA Fitness. It took 14 months to transform my body and therefore my health.
Consistency has helped me lose weight in the past. This included diet and exercise. I lost a moderate amount of weight. Unfortunately, due to medical issues I stopped. I’m back to working out on a regular basis at LA Fitness. Hot body here I come!
I’m always looking for exercise lower body and how burn body fat also how to mix different exercise to support my condition
I’ve loved the articles on the excercise equipment and the dietician sections! I have Multipe Sclerosis, excersise helps me with aches and pains.
What has helped me reach my personal fitness goal in the past has been determination and changing my negative thoughts. It all starts with me. If I want to feel and look better in a dress than I have to change my eating habits and stop eating at fast food testaurants. Also, I used a personal fitness coach and he assisted me and reinforce my thinking by telling me that I could have the body I want by eating better and exercising at least 5 times a week. But above all, feeling better wih my inner self. He was in the military so he was very deciplined and fit. He really encouraged to believe in myself and to never give up because I could do what ever I want to achieve. Thank you and I hope I can win this awesome shirt to wear it at the gym. Love LA Fitness!!!????
🙂
Love the help wi y h different types of food i should eat and how i can really work on my trouble spots. I really see more results reading your articles. Thank you. Roger tagashira. Army retired
Enjoy all your fitness articles.
The articles I most enjoy are on diet and nutrition. There are so many misconceptions regarding this topic that It is great to be able to gain some factual information instead of the “diet of the moment” or current fad.
LALALALALALAAAAAAA LALALAAA LALAaaa LA FITNESS !!
I attend the group classes mostly since its a fun way to lose calories. I train my muscles on the gym equipments.
I watch hungry for change and juicing for a healthy living. My husband has always been my motivation and support for me to reach personal goals.
I lost weight and I go to your gym almost everyday!
LA Fitness is a 2nd home for the past 3 years. I use the LA fitness app and follow many healthy living lifestyle pages on Instagram and facebook. I’ve maintained my level of fitness using technology and friendships I’ve made tat the gym. I even joke that the gym is my namesake LA (Lauren Armenio) Fitness!
I like seeing the videos on proper form to do a specific exercise.
The postings I most enjoy are the ones concerning exercise technique.
I love all the articles, because they all are helpful since there’s always something to learn more about losing weight and exercising.
Which Living Healthy articles or workouts have you used to help you, and what were your results? My Wife and I became members on 1/2/2015 and went in for our first workout (cardio) on the 4th. I started on the 6th using the 10 weeks Workout For Summer blog found on your site. I used it for a couple of weeks. I finally took the big step starting on the 19th using the 90 Day Workout Plan #MoveMoreBurnMore routine. I have been going 5-6 times per week since I became a member at LAFitness. In 4 weeks I have lost 4 pounds (some days its 5 lbs) and half an inch off my waist and an inch off my chest. We have started to make food changes to our diet that has assisted in my weight loss. I am happy with the feeling I get after a good workout (rewarded with a nice trip to the sauna). I can’t wait to get to the second phase of the plan even though it does seem a bit intimidating as it will push me to the free weights but have received support from the LAFitness staff as well as some of the other members. This make great conversation for the sauna.
Does eating more small meals actually make your metabolism work or is that an urban myth?
I get to the gym at 6 a.m. Your fantastic Woodland Hills staff keeps us all coming back every morning and thus our fitness goals are achieved. Thanks for providing a great environment!
just Joyned can’t way to see my results
I really enjoy the workout explanations posted. They help me correct my form and introduce new exercises to my routine.
The articles on healthy eating (such as sodium affecting blood pressure, one day’s worth of nutrients and healthy meals, metabolism) and different exercises are interesting! 🙂
The articles on proper form during strength exercises have been very helpful.
I don’t like to be obsessed and spend too much time in preparing or choosing food. I like simple. The same for fitness. I don’t like complicated step works or equipment.
My ex girlfriend push me to get back in shape. 🙂
What exercise is good for a person who had back surgery
I would like to see more info on using the equipment. I am very familiar with several pieces but it is difficult to get help without hiring a trainer. I have seen “floor” people at other fitness clubs that are available to help you on the equipment. It is difficult to get help without paying for it. Even an hour or two when we know that there will be someone available would be a nice approach. I enjoy the club and all the classes that are available. I would like a little more info on the equipment so I do not hurt myself or the equipment.
I use the diet suggestions and love the body weight exercises. The details of proper exercise form give great direction for a more efficient session.
I work out sometimes 7 days a week sometimes 26 days straight. I go during the week at 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. And on the weekends when I get out. LA Fitness is my second home I love LA Fitness and everything about it.
I am on track to losing weight and I am working really hard at it.
Playing racquetball 2-3 times a week is the best cardio workout for me. Add 2-3 weight workouts helps keep you on track.
I like anything La Fitness promotes regarding nutrition and exercises. Staying fit and exercising are a priority with me. Being fit makes daily routines a piece of cake and leaves you wanting to play more even after all the work is done….Cheers to Fitness!!
George: I use the personal tips as well as using the facilities.
I’m 54 and need to trim my waist I’m a member of LA fitness ,and I’m afraid to ask someone, and would prefer to ask you because i can follow instructions to the tee ,better than most so I’m assuming you have a plan for me
Having support and or a workout buddy, has always helped me reach my personal fitness goals in the past.
Using a heart rate monitor helps me keep track of my calories burned, but most importantly it lets me know when I need to up my intensity to keep my heart rate up and in the right range.
The biggest help to my fitness goals was my decision to sign a personal training contract at my local LA Fitness. I worked with several trainers over a 3 year period, and the results have been awesome. Considering that I am approaching 64 years of age, I plan to keep applying what I learned from the trainers for as long as I am physically able. It’s hard work, but the payoff is well worth the effort.
Been a long time member of LA Fitness. It has helped me to strengthen my body and achieve my weight loss goals.
I had never tried PIlates until I stated going to LA Fitness. I have participated in all types of dance and exercise since I was a kid and this is the first form of exercise that really gets my core under control. This along with yoga and the eliptical for cardio and I’m good to go, as far as, meeting my fitness goals.
To get lean I do spin class with Jay Repko at the Pottstown club. Incredible motivator and works like a charm. I normally get 750+ calories in the hour long class.
thanks LA for all the workout tips

What has helped you reach your personal fitness goals in the past?
I have been able to reach my goal of losing 30+ lbs and building lean muscle by exercising at least an hour and half six days a week for over the past year, by eating smaller, more frequent meals, minimizing fast foods and junk foods, and by drastically reducing my alcohol intake. I also vary my workouts from day-to-day, incorporating 3 days of weight training and 3 days of cardio and aerobic training per week.
The Living Healthy Nutritional recommendations articles about foods to avoid, the triceps exercises, and have seen results, but still working to see more results on the above article tips. Mostly reading nutritional articles and workout tips articles in Living Healthy, and would like to see more nutritional articles and articles on workout efficiency exercises would be nice. One question concerning diet and nutrition and for the “Ask a Dietitian” segment would be how to maximize protein absorption in the body?” Working out efficiently has helped achieve the personal fitness goals that were set in the past.

4. Getting out everyday so my kiddos get the exercise they need daily too.
I was new to this town and people suggested me LA Fitness and whatever they said was true. It is very big and it motivates people to workout. I would suggest LA Fitness to all the people I know of.
1. I have read the article “I am underweight and want to have more muscle and definition, what can I do?” and I successfully managed to gain around 6-7 pounds.
