Hi, I am Cindy and I’m 41 years-old.  I have gained 25 pounds within the last two years and I’m struggling with trying to lose it. I started watching my calorie intake and I’ve managed to stop gaining weight.  What advice can you give me for choices of meals?  Any ideas or suggestions would be great! – Cindy

It sounds like you’ve been successful monitoring your portions; now it’s time to select better foods. An egg white omelet with vegetables and bran cereal with low-fat milk make for a good breakfast.

For lunch, rather than a sandwich, have salads with beans and chicken or salmon.

For dinner, think fresh and crisp; corn on the cob, steamed green vegetables or onion, bell peppers, tomato on skewer, and don’t forget to add 3 ounces of grilled lean protein like chicken, pork loin, scallops or beef round. – Debbie J., MS, RD
