question-answer-color-v-2I am 23 years old and I am currently in nursing school. Nine months ago—before entering into my hardest semester of classes—I was going to the gym 5 times a week and eating healthy. Since then, I have gained about 35 pounds from stress eating. Can you give me any tips or an eating plan that I can follow to get back to my previous weight? – Sarah

Just putting a menu—even a rough draft—into writing will help you follow your plan. When creating your menu be sure to include all of your meals, beverages and snacks too. It’s important to have the healthy items on the menu to choose from so temptation won’t lure you in. Choose ready-to-eat foods for snacks (like apples, trail mix, hard-cooked eggs) when preparation time is scarce due to your busy and stressful school schedule. – Debbie J., MS, RD
